The YMCA of Niagara offers complementary orientations to allow members to get the most from their YMCA membership. These orientations are set up to help members achieve their health and fitness goals. Fitness Coaches will discuss goals and interests with a member and connect them to the YMCA programs and services that will work for them. Orientations are customized based on member’s interests and goals. Fitness orientations are a bridge to YMCA programs and services. Personal Training is a customized approach to understanding and supporting members to achieve their health goals and objectives. Members will receive ongoing support and supervision from a trainer to ensure effectiveness, safety, and progression.
Kick Start is a 12 week fitness and nutrition program included in a YMCA of Niagara membership. This signature program will help members take the first steps towards building a healthy lifestyle, refreshing their routine, or trying something new. The Kick Start program is supported by Niagara Region Public Health.
Jump in and discover why everyone from infants to seniors can benefit from being active in the water! We offer swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, and a variety of other programs for you and your family.
Group Fitness is where fun and variety meet! Unlimited Fitness classes are included in your membership. Group Fitness classes take the guesswork out of your exercise routine and help you reach your goals.
Recreational Sports allow members the opportunity to be active while staying in the game! Recreational sports include basketball, volleyball, pickleball and soccer.
ActivTrax is a digital tool that will help members reach their health and fitness goals and track their progress while using the Conditioning Centre. Available at the Walker, Niagara Falls, Niagara Centre and Niagara West branches.
Conditioning Centres allows members to work out at their own pace, using the equipment of their choice, in a great environment. YMCA Conditioning Centres feature state of the art cardio and strength equipment, free weights, various functional equipment including TRX (at most locations) and a variety of stretching spaces.
