We offer a variety of live online classes per week to keep you active at home, led by our YMCA-certified instructors including familiar faces like Sally Jane, Chico, Brandon and Ro-z. Check out our new Summer virtual fitness class schedule!

For those a little cautious about the virtual experience, we are offering a free trial class so you can give us a try! We are positive that you will not be disappointed. To request your FREE code, click on the FREE TRIAL button below.

The descriptions below outline what members can expect, including some fun new additions. Each class will be 45-50 minutes long with time at the end to socialize with classmates via video.

Once you have experienced our free trial class and love it, please sign up by contacting customer service. The fee for this virtual package is $35.00 +HST per month. Registered participants will use EZ Facility to book a space, at their convenience, with an updated code.

Program Descriptions

YMCA Arriba is a high energy dance based fitness party where we focus on the 4 basic Latin rhythms – Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia and Reggaeton with a splash of Dance, Bollywood, Belly Dance, Hip Hop and any other rhythm you can move your hips and feet to!

Athletic conditioning incorporates Tabatas, high intensity interval training, functional movements, cardiovascular and strength exercises.  This class is designed to help develop muscular strength, endurance, flexibility and balance.

  • Participants will primarily be using body weight. The instructor will inform participants if they will require equipment. A mat is recommended.

A high intensity interval class that combines boxing pattern intervals with cardio movements associated with boxing.

No boxing experience needed. Boxing gloves and punching bags can be used but are not necessary.

With a combination of aerobic interval and weight training, Circuit Fit is designed to build cardiovascular strength and burn calories. It focuses on balance, speed, endurance and strength.

Challenge yourself in order to improve your cardiovascular system, muscular strength, stamina, flexibility, power, speed, agility, balance, endurance and accuracy true challenging workouts.

This class is designed to strengthen your core muscles, including those located in your abdomen, back and pelvis. Core will help you develop the much-needed strength in your core muscles key in preventing back pain, stress, weakness and fatigue.

  • Participants will need a mat and all exercises are bodyweight. No weights needed

Cyclefit is designed to build cardiovascular strength and burn calories. Each participant can control his or her own intensity. The instructor uses music and instructional cycling techniques to guide participants through all types of terrain: flat roads, hills, rough trails, interval drills and more.

  • Participants will need an indoor cycling bike or a road bike on a trainer to participate

With a combination of low impact cardiovascular aerobics, Gentlefit targets large muscle groups in order to build endurance and muscle strength.  It is designed to improve cardiovascular flow, range of motion, balance and strength to allow participants to complete daily movements with confidence. This class is ideal for those new to exercise, with joint problems or limited mobility.

  • Participants will need weights and a mat

With a primary focus on strengthening the cardiovascular system, this program offers support for individuals with known coronary heart disease and related risk factors.  Healthy Hearts focuses on the improvement of aerobic capacity and full body strength training.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is a training program that will increase both your aerobic and anaerobic endurance, combined with strength training exercises designed to tone your full body, while burning calories. It includes low to moderate intensity intervals alternated with high intensity intervals.

  • Participants will need weights and a mat

Take your workout to a new level. Kettlebell training will develop strength, flexibility, core control and stamina. Try Kettlebell and watch your energy and your body transform!

  • Participants will need kettlebells

This class incorporates mindfulness, movements and focused meditation. Learn and develop techniques to be more mentally and physically mindful and reduce stress.

If you are struggling to manage the daily challenges of Parkinson’s, our qualified staff can help. We offer special expertise for dealing with Parkinson’s, with this class focusing on stretching and strengthening with voice and speech activation exercises.

A low-impact exercise that strengthens muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility.

Pilates is grounded in the principles of strength, mobilizing the power of your breath, and integrating your muscles.

  • Participants will need a mat and small pillow or towel

This workout features a variety of exercises, including squats, lunges, curls and presses, targeting upper body, lower body and core. Using a combination of free weights, bands and body weight exercises to develop general full body strength.

STRONG by Zumba “revolutionizes Zumba” workouts as you know them, melting strong, upbeat rhythms with powerful, high intensity cardio and strength conditioning moves to fire your fitness potential up a notch.

TotalFit is a fitness class that combines 15 minutes of cardio, 15 minutes of total body strength and 15 minutes of floor-based exercises to strengthen the thighs, glutes and core.

Based on traditional yoga postures and focuses on mind-body awareness, strength, flexibility, breathing and relaxation techniques.  Designed to provide increased flexibility, strength and overall wellness.

  • Participants will need a yoga mat – yoga blocks and straps are recommended for modifications

Zumba® is a cardiovascular workout that incorporates the excitement and energy of dance. Zumba® fuses Latin rhythms and moves to create a dynamic, dance-based class. Instructors will give physical cues to movements, and members will learn routines and music over time and be able to anticipate upcoming moves.
