At the YMCA of Niagara, Newcomer Youth Employment Services supports eligible newcomer youth as they begin building their future in their new community. Through one-on-one support from a YMCA employment coach, youth can explore career goals, navigate the job market, and access guidance tailored to their unique journey.

Whether someone is looking for their first job in Niagara, preparing for the workplace, or exploring education and training opportunities, the YMCA is here to help them take the next step with confidence.

This free YMCA program is available for newcomer youth who:

  • Are between the ages of 15 – 30

  • Currently live in the Niagara Region

  • Are Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees, or Protected Persons

Support on Your Journey

After completing the form below, you’ll be connected with a YMCA employment coach who can provide personalized support based on your goals.

Coaches can help with resumes, interview preparation, and navigating the Canadian job market. Youth may also have opportunities to attend workshops, hiring events, and other group sessions throughout the year.

The program is designed to help newcomer youth move forward with greater confidence and work toward employment or education opportunities.
