2020 Summer Camp update

After careful consideration based on the latest COVID-19 developments and recommendations by local and regional health officials, we have decided to cancel our previously scheduled 2020 summer camp programs in Niagara. All families who have paid camp fees will receive a full refund.

Hours of Operation

The camp day operates from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  For your convenience, drop off at each camp site begins at 8:00 a.m.and pick up ends at 5:00 p.m. for no additional fee.

Extended Care

This fun, safe and supervised program is available at all YMCA locations as well as Lion’s Sugarbowl Park.

  • Mornings: 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.   Cost: $18/week
  • Evenings: 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.   Cost: $23/week

Daily extended care is available for Discovery camps only at a pro-rated fee.


Busing is available in select cities for a fee of $18/week or $3.60/day for Discovery camps. Buses leave by 8:30 am and arrive back between 4:30 and 4:45 pm based on road conditions. Please refer to page 19 of the camp brochure for bus routes.

Sign-out Identification Required

Identification is required at sign out. Parents/guardians or other authorized pick-ups will be asked to present valid government issued photo identification without exception at sign out.

How To Register

  • Visa or Mastercard credit, debit or prepaid card payments are required at the time of registration
  • For your convenience camp fees can be spread out through pre-authorized payments until June 30
  • A minimum deposit of $25/week or $5/day is required at the time of registration and is non-refundable
  • Registrations received after June 15 must be paid in full
  • Registrations will be accepted until the camp is full or the Friday at 4:00 pm the week before the camp is scheduled to begin

Cancellation Policy

Requests for refunds made up to two weeks prior to the camp date will be issued. All refund requests must be made in writing to [email protected].

Camp fees are non-refundable within two weeks of camp. Exceptions may be considered for confirmed medical reasons with proper documentation. Refunds will not be given if a camper is sent home as a result of their behaviour or if they are ill.

Code of Conduct

YMCA of Niagara Day Camp staff use a positive, values based approach to guide appropriate behaviours and to encourage and reinforce positive behaviours. Campers are expected to follow YMCA Day Camp behaviour guidelines and to interact appropriately with their fellow campers, staff and volunteers. Our goal is for each camper to have a positive and memorable experience. In order to achieve this, the safety of each camper is of the utmost importance. Parent/guardian(s) and campers must recognize a personal responsibility to learn and follow safety and other rules established by the YMCA. All campers are expected to follow the YMCA behaviour guidelines, and to interact in a positive and appropriate manner with their fellow campers, staff, and other members of the YMCA Day Camp community. Behaviour (including but not limited to: harassment; verbal threats; physical behaviour; bullying; etc.) that negatively impacts others physically or emotionally will result in immediate dismissal or removal from camp at the discretion of the YMCA of Niagara. Campers may also be removed from camp as a result of behaviour that places themselves at risk. Refunds will not be granted for dismissal prior to the end of the camp day or week.

At YMCA Day Camp, we strive to provide a healthy, safe and secure environment for all participants. We are a fully integrated camp that values diversity and the differences that form our camp community. We expect all campers to adhere to our behaviour guidelines.
