Swim lesson registration happens online through the CampBrain portal, accessible by computer, tablet, or smartphone. For the best experience, a computer is recommended.

Note: The registration portal is shared with YMCA Day Camp. If an account already exists for camp programs, the same login can be used.

YMCA staff are unable to complete swim lesson registrations on behalf of participants.

If support is needed, feel free to bring a personal device to a YMCA branch. Staff at the membership desk can assist with the registration process as needed.

What are private and semi-private lessons?2025-03-04T16:04:05-05:00

Private lessons provide one-on-one instruction, while semi-private lessons include two participants with one instructor.

  • Private lessons: A limited number of private lesson spots are available each session. Due to high demand, space is not guaranteed. If private lessons are full, email [email protected] to be added to the waitlist.
  • Semi-private lessons: Families must arrange their own second participant, as the YMCA does not match swimmers. Participants must be similar in age and swim level.

How to register for a semi-private lesson:

  1. Select one participant online to register for a private lesson.
  2. Add Private Lessons to the cart and select a class date and time.
  3. After selecting a class, add the Semi-Private Lesson Option fee to the cart.
  4. Complete the Semi-Private Lesson Form, selecting “Yes” to convert to a semi-private lesson.
  5. Enter the second participant’s name on the form. No separate registration is needed for the second swimmer.
