Small Hands, Big Impact
At one YMCA Child Care centre, an Art Gala transformed the space into something special: walls filled with colour, sculptures shaped by small hands, and families moving through it all with pride.
It felt like a celebration of creativity.
But it was also part of something bigger.
Across Niagara, Child Care teams are coming together to support the Stronger Together Campaign—turning everyday moments into meaningful impact.
Creativity in Action
What’s happening across Child Care isn’t just one event, it’s a wave of creativity.
From dance-a-thons and art shows to carnivals, tea parties, Olympic games, and even pie-in-the-face fundraisers, each centre is bringing its own spark.
These events reflect the joy, imagination, and care that define Child Care spaces, and they’re bringing families and communities right into the experience.
Building Opportunity, Together
Every dollar raised removes barriers so children, youth, and families can participate, grow, and unlock their potential.
Because for many, access to wellness, connection, and opportunity isn’t always easy.
Through Stronger Together, the YMCA is helping build spaces where people can feel healthier, more connected, and supported—so everyone has the chance to reach their full potential.
Where Belonging Begins
“Watching the children share their work with their families—you can feel the pride in the room. It’s more than a fundraiser. It’s a moment where everyone feels like they belong.”
That sense of belonging is what makes these events so powerful.
They’re not just raising funds, they’re creating connection, confidence, and community in real time.
The Impact Keeps Growing
This year, Child Care teams set out with a shared goal: to raise $25,000 in support of the Stronger Together Campaign.
In years past, the response has been so strong that teams have gone on to surpass it, driven by the energy and enthusiasm of children, families, and staff. For many children, it’s a first experience of giving back and finding creative ways to support others in their community. That, in itself, matters.
