Support the YMCA and Pink Shirt Day!
As an organization that serves children and adolescents in Niagara Region, the YMCA would like to invite YMCA members, participants, partners, staff, volunteers, and supporters to stand up against bullying. We encourage everyone to wear a pink shirt on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 as a symbol of support for a unified and respectful community.
This year, we are inviting you to double your support. Purchase a pink It’s Cool to be Kind t-shirt—created in collaboration with Brand Blvd—to support YMCA Adventure Club.
YMCA Adventure Club is a unique program for children aged 6 to 12 identified as at-risk and/or needing a positive recreational experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. This original program was developed during the summer of 2020 in response to the needs of the Niagara community.
The YMCA can’t do it alone. Thanks to the funds raised, we are able to offer Adventure Club at no cost to participants. The YMCA collaborates with numerous community agencies to identify children to participate in the program. By participating in YMCA Adventure Club children have the opportunity to have fun and just be a kid, make new friends, experience a safe environment and celebrate their uniqueness!
Two adolescents in Nova Scotia started the Pink Shirt Day movement in 2007. It has since grown into a national movement with a very important message. For more information about anti-bullying day please visit pinkshirtday.ca.

Wear the It’s Cool to Be Kind t-shirts on Pink Shirt Day or on any other day to show support. They are available in the following sizes.
Youth: Sizes X-Small to X-Large, $20 each
Adult: Sizes Small to 3XL, $25 each
At the point of sale you can select to have your t-shirt
- Delivered to a YMCA Health, Fitness and Aquatics location for curb side pick-up the week prior to February 24
- Or delivered to your home (or office) for an additional fee
If you select curb side pick-up at a YMCA location you will receive an email closer to the date with pick-up times and instructions.
