EarlyON Centres Recognized for Innovation and Impact Across Niagara
Niagara Region’s EarlyON Child and Family Centres have been recognized with the 2026 Local Municipal Champion Award from the Ontario Municipal Social Services Association, celebrating Niagara’s innovative approach to creating integrated community hubs for children and families.
The award recognizes Niagara Region’s collaborative work with community partners to make EarlyON Centres more than places for early learning — helping families connect to additional supports including housing, mental health and family services.
Across Niagara’s 26 EarlyON Centres (five of which are operated by YMCA of Niagara), families participated in more than 82,000 visits in 2025, highlighting the important role these welcoming spaces continue to play in supporting children, caregivers and communities across the region.
