This is the Soufane family's story.
The Soufane family has a son who attends YMCA Child Care. Here, he not only interacts with his peers but also flourishes, forming meaningful connections with children both older and younger than himself
He comes home feeling better connected to his school and peers.
Since our son joined the “Y Care” after-school program, it has been great. He is never in a rush to run home, yet always prepared to leave when we come to pick him up.
Our son is one of the eldest in a JK/SK split class, so he can be almost two years older than some JKs. Yet, through Y Care, he has had the opportunity to spend more time with older kids. This adds further stimulation, challenge, and friendships with not only kids in his age group but also kids 1-4 years older.
We know that he learns during this time and comes home feeling better connected to his school and peers. The leaders at “Y Care” pay close attention to the kids while also letting them play freely in a kind, fun manner. We are blessed to have our son in the Y’s care
